Sienna Exterior

The 2022 Toyota Sienna features sleek and bold stylings that make it stand out from other minivans. Design cues were taken from Japan’s famous Shinkansen Bullet Train to give a speedy appearance. The Bi-LED headlights are stretched around the sides of the Sienna, giving off the appearance as though they were being blown by the wind. The rest of the body is strikingly sculpted and serves as a departure from the typical boxy minivan. The look is rounded off towards the rear with LED taillights that embed a carefully sculpted tailgate with an integrated spoiler.

All of these design decisions not only serve to give the Sienna a prominent appearance, but they also allow the minivan to have a drag coefficient of just 0.29 and class-leading fuel economy.

Sienna Interior Features

The Toyota Sienna interior features bold and modern horizontal layers that lead the eye to the large 9-inch center touchscreen. Along with support for Bluetooth, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay, the Sienna also offers an integrated wi-fi hotspot. With seven USB ports spread throughout the cabin, everyone will be sure to stay powered up on long road trips.

Depending on trim level, the Sienna can be had in either an eight or seven-seat configuration. The seven-seat configuration ditches the second-row bench seat and replaces it with two premium captain’s chairs. Depending on whether more cargo room or more legroom is needed, the captain’s chairs can slide back and forth a total of 25 inches. In the higher trims, these chairs can also recline and come with a pop-up ottoman for maximum comfort. An onboard vacuum cleaner can also be found to help with any of life’s little messes. With the fourth-generation Sienna being built on the new TNGA-K architecture, the interior room has increased over the previous generation. Headroom now sits at 40.1, 39.9, and 37.4 inches for the first, second, and third-row respectively. Legroom is also at 40.3, 39.9, and 38.7 inches respectively. With all three rows in use, the Sienna still has a very spacious 33.5 cubic feet of cargo space. With the third row down, this figure shoots up all the way to 75.2 cubic feet.

The 2022 Toyota Sienna has a starting price of $34,560. For this year the Sienna is offered in six different trim levels, LE, XLE, XSE, Woodland Edition, Limited, and Platinum.

Toyota Sienna Trim Comparison

LE

The base LE model Sienna comes with a lot of great features from the get-go. Standard features include LED headlights, power-sliding side doors, and a three-zone automatic climate control. Additionally, it comes with a generously sized 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Despite being the base model, the LE trim comes with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0. This package includes many driver assistance features that help with accident avoidance such as Forward Collision Mitigation and Adaptive Cruise Control.

XLE

The XLE trim further improves upon the foundations of the LE trim. The XLE now comes with four-zone climate control, as well as an eight-speaker audio system. XSE

Limited

The Limited opts to base its stylings off of the XLE rather than the sporty XSE. More luxury features start to find their way into this trim. The Limited trim comes with a wireless charging pad, leather seating, as well as footrests for second-row captain’s chairs. The audio system is further improved to a 12-speaker setup.

Platinum

The Platinum is the top-of-the-line trim for the 2022 Toyota Sienna. On the exterior, this trim adds Bi-LED projector headlights for even better visibility. Toyota is able to achieve a near-identical mpg by opting for a much lighter electric motor to power the rear wheels instead of a bulky driveshaft and transfer case going to the rear wheels.
